What to write
Most first messages are short. A brief description of the situation, what is needed, and when it is needed is sufficient to establish whether there is a basis for a conversation. There is no template, no intake questionnaire, and no process before the first exchange.
If the situation is complex or sensitive, write as much or as little as you are comfortable writing in a first message. The response will be proportionate. If the situation warrants a conversation, one will be suggested. If it does not, that will be said clearly.
Response time: Every enquiry is acknowledged within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. All messages are read by the principal directly. For time-sensitive situations, note the urgency in the message.
